BLOOD DONATION CAMP BY HUTATMA RAJGURU MAHAVIDYALAYA

Rajgurunagar: January, 4 

NSS unit of Hutatma Rajguru Mahavidyalaya, Rajgurunagar organised a blood donation camp on the occasion of the former founder member of late Sahebravji Butte- Patil on Monday 3rd January in the college campus. The camp was organised in association with Sasun Hospital, Pune. Whole Maharashtra and country is suffering from pandemic corona and thousands of patients are desparately in need of blood. In the call of Corona, the NSS unit of college came forward and arrange the blood donation camp.

     The the president of the college Adv. Devendra ji Butte- Patil and the Principal of the college Dr. V.D. Kulkarni inaugurated the camp and also donated their blood. The president in his speech reported the importance of blood donation and congratulated NSS students for their sense of social responsibility. The principal sir in his address assured students that all blood donor students will be given a card which in case of emergency can be used to obtain blood with priority if they need it.

     Students were motivated and they queued for blood donation. After blood donation students were given 20 minutes rest, a tea and Parle biscuits. As token of Blood Donation each donor was given a certificate. 3 Doctors and 6 nurses rendered their service at the camp without charging any amount. The camp which had begin at 10:00 a.m. and closed at 4.00 p.m. in the evening with the national anthem. A vote of thanks was proposed by college NSS programme officer Prof. Dhumal.
