Tense-Simple Present-Past-Future
*FORMULA OF TENSE *
*SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE*
Uses-
1. It is mainly used to express actions done as a matter of habit or actions done repeatedly.
e.g. They pray to God daily in the morning.
2. It is also used to express a person's routine on a particular day.
e.g. Today, I get up 6 o'clock in the morning and take a cup of tea and go for a morning walk. At 8 , I take my breakfast.
3. It at expresses permanent truths/ universal truth.
e.g.The sun gives us heat and light.
Since scientific facts and proverbs also express permanent truths, they also take the present simple tense.
e.g. Water boils at 100°C .
An empty vessel makes much noise.

4. It is used in exclamatory sentences beginning with here and there.
e.g. Here comes Mr. Shetty.
There goes the bus.
5. The verb 'continue' is used in the simple present tense, for it contains in itself the idea of continuity.
e.g. The weather continues cold and wet.
Formula -

2. S+ m.v-s/es/ies + O*
3. S +V1+ O (V1-Action Verb)*

*SIMPLE PAST TENSE*
Uses-
It is used when we speak of the actions that do not have any connection with the present and are complete by the time of speaking.
e.g. He failed in the examination.
He didn't do anything for him.
2. To show habitual action in the past.
e.g. He often went to Kerla to see his parents.
She always spent her summer vacation at National.

2. S+ V2+ O (V2 - Action Verb-past form of the Verb)

*SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE*
It is used to denote the events which are not influenced by intention, willingness or probability. Here personal element does not come into the picture.
e.g. Tomorrow will be Sunday.
This part won't fit in the machine.
S + shall /will + m. v. +O (- Action verb -m.v./V1)

1. She has a beautiful hand writing.

5. It has a cloudy atmosphere.

Examples-
1. I start my homework.
2. We realise our mistake.
3. They do their work separately.
4. He writes in the notebook.
5. She goes to the market everyday.
6. Baby cries loudly.
7. Ram tries many times but not solved.
8. Geeta listens a music 🎶 .
9. I cut an apple 🍏.
10.She talks about many subjects but l like only one subject.
11. I think, this is my umbrella ☔.
*SIMPLE PAST TENSE*
1.S was /were /had +O ( To be's & to have's verb)
2. S+ V2+ O (V2 - Action Verb-past form of the Verb)
Examples-
1. I was busy today.
2. She were not in this group.
3. They were many flowers in my garden yesterday.
4. He had a car.
5. They had their own dinner that day.
6. We were very excited in that function.
7. There were many instruments in this area.
8. King Amrit was a great king 👑 .
9. There were a beautiful garden.
*2. S+ V2+ O (V2 - Action Verb-past form of the Verb)*
Examples-
1. I liked this painting. 🎨
2. She did his work before time ⌚.
3. My routine disturbed now.
4. I learnt this grammar topic.
5. She caught a bus 🚍.
6. She ran very fast.
7. That butterfly 🦋 flew somewhere.
8. They did comparison between two topic.
9. Teacher came in the class at 🕘9 o'clock .
10. Some students worked in the company.
*SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE*
S + shall /will + m. v. +O (- Action verb -m.v./V1)
Examples-
1. I shall busy tomorrow.
2.We shall do our homework after this lecture.
3. She will solve your problem.
4. He will understand your needs.
5.They will catch this bus 🚍.
6. It will be possible if u are ready for this.
7. We will win the match.
8. This paint will completely dry by tomorrow.
9. I will need some more money.
10. He will probably wait for you.
