A.2.
Setting- Describe the place where the
incidents of the play happened.
Ans- All the incidents
happened in the printing room. The office of the “People’s Messenger’ is
appropriate to the theme. There is a single door opening. The printing room had
compositors, printers, and manuscripts. There are a few chairs and a window. The
atmosphere is clumsy.
A.3. Setting- Narrate the opening incidents that happened in the printing room in a short paragraph.
Ans- In the office of the
‘People’s messenger”, Billing brought the manuscript of Dr. Stockmann. Billing
and Hovstad had to decide whether to print Dr. Stockmann’s manuscript or not.
It was the article depicting the real condition of Bath. If this article was published, it would make a revolution in the city. The Mayor would not like the
article because it might cause the financial ruin of the town. So there was tension in the printing room about the decision of printing and publish the
manuscript.
A.4. Describe
the climax scene in your own words.
Ans- In the climax scene,
Dr. Stockmann understands that his manuscript is not going to print. Hovstad
is not ready to print it and no one in the town will be able to help him with
its publication. So dr. Stockmann declares that he will go to every corner of
the town and read his manuscript. He decides to make his report public in
spite of all threats. His wife changes her mind and decides to support her
husband. She confirms that the family members will take his side and make the
people aware of the bad impacts of the poor condition of Baths.
