Sound & Music -

The background sound is so heart racing and songs music is so superb . The song, "Shankara re Shankara" is very famous song.

The background music creates historical atmosphere. It brings the true spirit in the film.

Characters /Casting/ Characterization-

The film stars Ajay Devgan in the lead role as (Tanhaji Malusare) & kajol as his wife (Savitribai).Saif Ali khan has played a negative role of Rajput Mughal Fortkeeper (Udaybhan Singh). All the leading characters performed very well. Ajay Devgan showed excellence in action while Kajol presented emotional aspect . Supporting actors performed their role nicely.

Setting and Location - 

The film is based on 17th century , the life of Tanhaji Malusare .The setting of the film is historical . The story takes place in Maratha's one of the forts Kondhana.

Cinematography (Camerawork) -

Camerawork was just awesome . The film has special effect which seen so real.

Story line / Theme-

"Tanhaji" is a real period action film starring Ajay Devgan , Saif Ali Khan & Kajol . The film describes Tanhaji's attempts to recapture the Kondhana fort . Once it passes on to the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb who transfers its control to his trusted guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore. This breaveheart went to war , armed with a few Maratha soilders to get back the Kondhana fort , against the Mughal army headed by Udaybhan.  Mughal's had the military power but Tanhaji had sharp wisdom. Unfortunately ,"Gad ala pan Sinha Gela" which means "the fort is conquered but the lion is dead" So kondana fort now known as Sinhagad.

Message - 

Tanhaji was gifted with a body of steel , courage of a lion with an energetic mind . He always ready to sacrifice his life for his king and country .The film gives a message to us to be loyal for your country when it need.

Special features-

The use of 3D technology and adventurous action scenes are the speciality of this film.the acting of real husband wife (Ajay and Kajol) playing the same role on screen is interesting. The final battle between Tanaji and Udaybhan was a thrilling experience to watch. All the scenes give us  goosebumps.
